Digestion Overview
Before discussing
about GERD (Gastroesophageal
Reflux Disease), we will look upon some of the basic things of digestion.
Generally when we eat things which are solid like meat, fruits or bread usually
when it enters our stomach its not in the form that the body can use it.
Generally speaking whatever
we eat or drink should be diluted into small piece of molecules of nutrients.
Then these nutrients are absorbed by the blood and transported to cells through
the body. Digestion is the process where your food splits up into small pieces
so that the body can absorb them as nutrient molecules.
